JESSICA MACDONALD, PHD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist/Telemental Health Consultant
Are you anxious? Stressed? Does going to therapy seem daunting? The world is a challenging place right now and many people are unable to go to in-person therapy appointments. However, I may be able to help. Through online therapy, I will work with you to address life's problems and find joy again without having to travel to an office. Teletherapy (i.e., online therapy or video chat therapy) allows you to attend one-on-one sessions from the comfort of your home or other convenient location at a time that works for you.
A BIT ABOUT THERAPY AND TELETHERAPY
I strongly believe that therapy is a collaborative experience. You are the expert on your life, and I am here to help you achieve your goals and live your values. By using Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness I can help adults with depression, anxiety, work stress, competitive work environments, trauma, including race-based traumatic stress, imposter syndrome, dating and relationships, and other issues reach their goals. Working together, we will address difficult thoughts, behaviors, feelings, and situations to help you develop mental flexibility, experience success, relax, and reconnect with joy.
My practice is online-only (no services are provided in an office). Because of that, I can only meet with adults (18+) living in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee,Texas, Utah, and Virgina. I cannot see people who are suicidal or homicidal, violent, experiencing psychosis, experiencing issues that may require police involvement or problems that may require hospitalization or more intensive therapeutic intervention.
